Sherman Oaks Hit-and-Run: Man Left for Dead in Street as Dozens Drive By

Tuesday, November 5, 2019 (KABC Los Angeles) – Shocking video has been released of a fatal hit and run incident on Sherman Oaks on Monday evening. 22 year old Neri Ramirez Chalo is seen crossing Sepulveda Blvd. Just as the victim is about to be safely to the other side of the street, a 2008 white Infiniti G37 appears out of nowhere and strikes the victim, leaving him for dead in the middle of the boulevard. It’s a bad thing. We need more kindness and compassion.” Fortunately there is a suspect already identified and police need help tracking him down. The suspect is Roberto Ocampo, who is currently not in custody. The city is offering a $50,000 reward for the arrest and successful prosecution of Ocampo.ย

LAX pickup: How to Hack the New Ride-Hailing Changes Causing Uber, Lyft and Taxi Delays

Wednesday, November 6, 2019 (LA Times) – The always chaotic LAX has now just added a new wrinkle to the melee. A new policy that has taken hold at the highly-trafficked and iconic airport was intended to ease traffic at terminals, but wound up causing more confusion. Now those flying into LAX that rely on rideshare services like Uber and Lyft, must take a shuttle to a holding area where wait times can stretch for hours. As of right now, there is no sign that this will change, which is discouraging for passengers simply trying to get to their destination after a long flight. Alternatives that can be considered are the FlyAway or the Metro.ย
