Partnership with The Salvation Army Supports Kids in Need
On December 8, 2025, Jacob Emrani teamed up with the Los Angeles Rams to spread the holiday spirit, shopping with kids at the Walmart in West Hills, CA. A partnership with The Salvation Army, the event enabled children to choose items they otherwise could not afford. Each child, paired with a volunteer, was allowed to pick $200 worth of merchandise (according to The Salvation Army Western Territory Instagram page).
About 100 children, from seven local communities, attended the holiday shopping spree to pick their own Christmas gifts. Also present were 20 players and rookies from the L.A. Rams, including Kyren Williams, Ernest Jones, and Kobie Turner. The event provided team members with a chance to show care while contributing both smiles and kindness.
In addition, more than 130 Rams volunteers and 25 Salvation Army volunteers participated in the annual event, which is now in its ninth year.
Jacob Emrani said, “[This is] such a great event to be part of and happy holidays to everybody…I hope we get a chance to do this every year and put smiles on the face[s] of these amazing kids.”
Representing the True Spirit of the Holidays
The Salvation Army is one of the largest social service providers in the nation. It is dedicated to helping those in need, especially with holiday assistance programs and initiatives such as meal distribution and toy drives. The Salvation Army U.S.A. Western Territory serves thirteen states, Guam, the Marshall Islands, and Micronesia.
The organization’s partnership with the Rams and Jacob Emrani is designed with community and compassion in mind. Another goal is to create moments during the holidays that kids can remember forever. According to the 2024 Census estimates, referenced in the Los Angeles Almanac, 316,000+ children under 18 years of age were considered to be below the poverty level.
During the annual event, the Walmart store’s garden center was transformed into a winter wonderland. It was here where children could choose their own gifts, including bicycles, video games, electronics, and more.
